Reds rout Mets (and Sid Fernandez) as Tom Seaver goes to 2-0. Cincy takes 8-0 lead led by GRAND SLAM by Johnny Bench. Mets comeback falls short. Joe Price gets the save for Reds

Reds make it two straight breaking 3-3 tie in 6th on Ray Knight SF and then putting the game away with three in 8th including another HR (4) by Bench. Howard Johnson hits 2 HRs for the Mets. Mario Soto (2-0) gets the CG win. Ron Darling (1-1) takes the loss.
